This photo taken in downtown Buenos Aires, in 1979, is of myself and Pedro Castillo, a member of the Bolivian Santa Cruz Mafia (La Mafia Cruzeña). It is the first direct buy of cocaine by an American Undercover agent from this organization.

Here I'm buying heroin and a gun in Brooklyn around 1968. Plainclothes cops happened onto the scene. The dealer ran. I ran with him, trying to maintain my cover...They opened fire on both of us...

This photo was taken with a camera concealed in a book, held by one of my backup team, as I did a drug transaction with "Billy Yellow Hair."

This photo was taken of me (my back to camera) in 1970, in the restaurant at the Siam Intercontinental Hotel in Bangkok, Thailand. I (posing as an American "Mafioso") negotiated for heroin from "Mr Geh".
